So recently I had found myself lost in the depths of Pinterest looking at ways I could upcycle items I had lying around my apartment. I found one super easy way to turn a box the husband got me from Vietnam into a ring box. The tutorial calls for quilt batting, fabric, sewing supplies and glue. I didn’t use any quilt batting as I was looking to just recycle some fabric I had lying around.
First, I had to figure out which way I wanted my rows to sit (vertical for me). Then, you need to measure the inside to see how wide the strips of fabric will be. Once you have your measurements then just cut for how many rows you want. Then you start rolling the strips, sew them or glue them shut. If your strip is snug enough then you don’t have to glue them to the bottom of the box!
Since my box was fairly shallow I didn’t have to have long strips of fabric. But if using a deeper box I would suggest either using longer strips or rolling them around something like wide straws, or bubble wrap. Whatever can be rolled you can use. As for the box even something as small as an altoids box will work!
There you have it, a super easy ring box so you can easily keep all your rings in one place! And the best part is that it only takes about 10 minutes to do, so no need to worry about taking too much out of that busy schedule :-).
